BINI’s ‘Cherry on Top’ played during NBA halftime show

P-pop girl group sensation BINI reached new heights as their latest single, “Cherry on Top,” was featured during the halftime show of a National Basketball Association (NBA) game.

On Nov. 10, the Clippers Spirit dance team brought energy and Pinoy pride to the court as they performed BINI’s hit track in front of a packed audience at the Intuit Dome during the match between the Los Angeles Clippers and Toronto Raptors.

Although the octet wasn’t present for the live performance, the high-energy halftime routine brought a taste of P-pop to NBA fans, sparking excitement among fans and Filipinos worldwide.

The event was part of the LA Clippers’ “Filipino Heritage Night”, which celebrates Pinoy culture on the international sports stage. It is worth noting that five of the dance group members are Filipino-American.

The moment quickly went viral on social media as BINI’s fans, fondly known as “Blooms,” proudly shared the video on social media platforms.

One Bloom enthusiastically posted on X, “BINI sikat!!! BINI on NBA!!! BINI being played at the LA Clippers dome!!! Cherry on Top being performed!!! This is getting heard by NBA fans!!!”

The NBA debut of Cherry on Top comes just days after the octet became the first-ever Filipino awardee of the “Best Asia Act” at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).
