Actor Paulo Avelino seemingly addressed speculations from eagle-eyed fans who noticed similarities between photos he and actress Kim Chiu posted online.
The buzz started when fans of the Kapamilya reel couple, fondly known as “KimPau”, speculated that the pair was together in Los Angeles, California after they both shared photos and videos on their Instagram accounts with strikingly similar backgrounds.
Kim posted a series of images from Los Angeles in August, which was captioned with an inspiring quote, “Life becomes more meaningful when you realize the simple fact that you’ll never get the same moment twice.”
Meanwhile, Paulo also shared his own snapshots from the same city, some with identical views to the actress’ photos.
This led to online assumptions that the two stars were traveling together, claiming the posts were evidence that they were indeed together in L.A. while some netizens suggested a romantic connection between them.
On X, Paulo seemed to have taken the matter into his account to dispel the rumors.
In his cryptic post, the actor wrote, “Grabe naman kayo. Nagkataon lang,” which netizens assumed was him implying that the similar photos were purely coincidental.
Despite Paulo’s remark, many fans continued to express their delight over the possibility of the two spending time together in the City of Angels.
Kim and Paulo have previously confirmed that they will be pairing up once again for a new romantic-comedy film titled “My Love Will Make You Disappear”.
This marks the third time that Chiu and Avelino will be working together, following their hit 2023 romance-thriller series “Linlang,” alongside JM de Guzman and local adaptation of the popular K-drama series “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?” earlier this year.
