TV5 program manager sacked over sexual harassment complaint

TV5 Network has terminated the employee who is facing a sexual abuse complaint from an independent contractor.

Senator Raffy Tulfo, through a Facebook post of his program, “Raffy Tulfo in Action,” released an update regarding the sexual harassment complaint of a 22-year-old talent/news researcher against a program manager of the network’s News and Public Affairs.

In a statement, the program revealed that TV5 Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan personally relayed that the investigation done by the network over the sexual harassment case showed that there is concrete evidence against the program manager.

On April 9, the 22-year-old talent/news researcher reached out to the program to seek justice over the sexual harassment incident, claiming that he was taken advantage of while he was drunk after going to a bar in Poblacion, Makati.

Tulfo called the attention of the network and its management to take appropriate action over its employee’s misconduct, and ordered an immediate probe on the matter.

Pangilinan also revealed that the network will provide assistance to the talent including medical assistance such as therapy, and other needs.
