Gerald Anderson receives ‘Search and Rescue’ award for heroic act during Typhoon Carina

Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson has been recognized by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) for his heroic acts during the onslaught of Typhoon Carina.

In photos shared by ABS-CBN News, Anderson received a “Search and Rescue” medal and ribbon during an awarding ceremony held at the PCG headquarters, on Thursday, August 8.

Anderson, who’s an auxiliary lieutenant commander of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Auxiliary K9 Squadron, was personally accorded by PCG Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan during the event.

Gerald received the award following his act of bravery and kindness in rescuing residents amid flooding at Barangay Santo Domingo in Quezon City.
