SB19 launched as new face of fast food giant

From “Love ko ‘to!” to “Atin ‘to!”

P-pop Kings SB19 has been introduced as the newest endorser of fast food giant McDonalds.

The quintet, composed of Pablo (John Paulo Nase), Ken (Felip Jhon Suson), Stell (Stellvester Ajero), Josh (Josh Cullen Santos), and Justin (Justin De Dios) marked the partnership with the quick service restaurant through a one-minute music video commercial.

A few days prior the reveal, McDonald’s Philippines released a teaser on their social media pages hinting at a new “Ninang” to their next endorser.

SB19’s avid fan base, fondly called as A’tin, were quick to guess it was the upcoming endorsement. An exclusive video for A’tin was later released later, featuring a specially-written single showcasing the band’s love for Chicken McDo and encouraging their fans to try it out and embrace it as their own.

In the LSS-inducing video, the P-pop boy group sensation shared their love for the “much malaki, much juicier, much crispier, and much sulit” Chicken McDo!, declaring, “Atin ‘to!” for the new and better Chicken McDo.

In 2021, SB19 made history as the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards for Top Social Artist category, and most recently, made a mark after winning the Favorite Asian Act award during the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2024.

The boy group follows the footsteps of other A-list celebrity endorsers such as “unkaboggable” Vice Ganda and Kapuso royalties Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.

“We’re ecstatic to welcome SB19 to the McDonald’s Philippines family. To have this supergroup join us in showing love for our much bigger, much juicier, much crispier and much sulit Chicken McDo is very exciting,” said McDonald’s Philippines’ Assistant Vice President for Corporate Relations and Impact Adi Timbol-Hernandez in a press release.

She added “It’s a great collaboration, and we look forward to working with SB19 in delivering more feel-good moments to our customers all over the country. Definitely, there’s much more to look forward to in this campaign.”
