Trigger warning: This article contains mentions of abuse and mental health conditions.
Following the cryptic warning posted by former child star Niño Muhlach, his wife Diane Tupaz also expressed her outrage over alleged indecent acts committed against an unnamed family member.
In a Facebook post seething with anger, Diane said that she and Niño had raised their children with love and care, only for their family member to be “disrespected” by the unnamed perpetrators.
She wrote in a seething post: “PINALAKI AT ININGATAN NAMING MABUTI ANG AMING MGA ANAK NA PUNO NG PAGMAMAHAL AT PAG AARUGA TAPOS WAWALANG HIYAIN LANG NG MGA KUNG SINONG TAO NA NILAMON NG KADEMONYOHAN SA KATAWAN PARA MAGAWA YUNG GANUNG KLASENG KABABUYAN!” Muhlach’s wife wrote.
Diane stressed that their child will carry the trauma of the incident for the rest of their life.
“HINDI KAMI MAKAKAPAYAG NA HINDI NAMIN MAKAKAMIT ANG HUSTISYA! HABANG BUHAY NA DADALHIN NG ANAK NAMIN YUNG KABABUYAN NA GINAWA NYO SA KANYA! WALA KAMING PAKIALAM KUNG SINO KAYO O KUNG SINO ANG POPROTEKTA SA INYO!” she added.
Diane further expressed their determination to seek justice for the alleged abuse, making it clear that they will not back down despite the challenges they might face.
“SISIGURADUHIN NAMIN NA PAGBABAYARAN NYO YUNG GINAWA NYO! HINDI NAMIN HAHAYAAN NA MAY MABIKTIMA PA KAYO NA IBA! ITUTULOY NAMIN ANG LABAN! MANAGOT ANG DAPAT MANAGOT! NAKAKA NGINIG KAYO NG LAMAN!” Diane concluded her statement.
Her post also came with the hashtag, “#JUSTICESHOULDPREVAIL.”
This came just a few hours after Niño’s cryptic Facebook post that sparked intrigue online after netizens speculated that it was related to a widely circulated blind item about a controversial incident involving a young artist and “TV executives.”
Other relatives of Muhlach also took to social media to support the couple’s cry for justice.
Viva artist Andrew Muhlach reshared the former’s Facebook post, along with the caption, “Justice will prevail”
Andrew is the son of the late Cheng Muhlach, who is also the father of Aga and Arlene Muhlach.
Luigi Muhlach, son of Aga and Janice de Belen, has also reportedly reshared Niño’s post on his verified Facebook page.
His shared post also came with a cryptic caption that read, “Subukan niyo kami ng gising.”
News anchor Barbie Salvador-Muhlach, wife of Aaron Muhlach, expressed her sympathy for the “SA” victim whom she said is someone she “personally” knows.
“To the SA victim I personally know whose case is now making rounds on socmed, i’m thinking of you. I will support however which way you wish to fight this,” Barbie wrote on X.
“May you find the courage to tell your story for the sake of others who may fall victim to predatory practices in ph showbiz,” she said alleging that the suspect is someone from the local entertainment industry.
She also urged curtly in a separate post to “Name the abusers”.
