“After changing numbers and not seeing each other for so long, faith has brought us all back together. It was so nice being with the Asuncion Family,” she captioned in her Tiktok post.

It can be seen in the video how Heart and the family happily catch up for the years that they have lost contact. They were also seen affectionately hugging each other upon their reunion.

They even took a selfie to remember the said day.

Back in 2017, in one of the segments of her show, Heart was remembered to be emotional regarding the living conditions of the family who had to share two cans of sardines for one meal.

“‘Di ko lang maintindihan yung dalawang lata ng sardinas,” she cried as she try to make sense how despite these struggles, the family can still live happily with one another.

“Sobrang bait nila, sobrang saya nilang pamilya,” she added.

This realization brought the actress into tears and had her thinking, “Lesson na siguro ‘to sa lahat para satin, kasi dami nating kino-complain, dami nating sinasabi na ganito, iniisip natin yung sinasabi ng ibang tao, pero sila [masaya],” Heart remarked.

After the show in 2017, Heart posted a photo of her with the family in her Facebook page saying, “What a beautiful day for this family who was featured in one of Follow your Heart episodes who was making sure that all of their members will have a share of the 2 canned sardines.

“Heart made sure to give them some more worth it. God bless your big heart. And to this family, don’t lose hope. As long as you stick together and look up to Him, everything will turn out best,” her Facebook post read.
