Filipino actor and director Michael de Mesa got stranded for 17 hours on the way home after a taping due to the flooding caused by Typhoon Carina.

In a recently shared Instagram post, Michael narrated the unfortunate circumstance he was in, sharing the details of his situation online.

More than half a day already, Michael still found himself stranded due to roads being closed, flood water not receding, and his tow-truck not getting through to get him and his car.

“Stranded for 17 hours now coming from taping yesterday. Naiiyak na ako,” the actor expressed online, as he has been stuck for almost a day already.

“The tow truck can’t get through, and my anxiety is kicking in. I just want to go home,” he shared.

This incident started on July 24 when he first updated everyone with his situation.

“Packed up at 2:30pm and have been stranded here for 5 hours,” Michael initially said in his caption.

“The roads are impassable due to waist-deep flooding, and my car has malfunctioned from the water I had to drive through earlier. It’s nighttime now, and I haven’t eaten. I guess we definitely shouldn’t have gone to work today,” he further explained.

In his first post, the actor attached several videos of the road he had to pass. As observed, it was already flooding in the area he was in, but he tried to push through.

“Okay pack up na. They decided to pack up today’s taping. So ito yung dadaanan ko. Normally, diyan ako dadaan,” he said in the video while referring to the knee-deep flooded road ahead of him.

Determined to get home, De Mesa said, “So I’m in Cainta. So let’s see. We’ll update you later. Let’s see how we’re gonna do, okay?”

“Pray for me. Thank you,” he concluded.

Unfortunately, despite his will, roads became inevitably closed that he ended being stranded for five hours due to the flood not receding. Adding to that, his car started to malfunction due to the water he had to pass through.

This all resulted in him being stuck for almost a day, with nowhere to eat nor sleep.

The actor has yet to update if he was already able to get home.
