Trina Candaza received messages of support and comfort from netizens amid news of her ex-partner Carlo Aquino’s wedding to Charlie Dizon.
Carlo and Charlie surprised fans on Sunday after secretly tying the knot at a private resort in Silang, Cavite.
The two exchanged vows in front of their close friends and colleagues, with ABS-CBN executives also in attendance.
Whilst well wishes poured in for the newlyweds, some netizens couldn’t help checking in on Trina, Carlo’s former partner whom she shares a daughter with.
On the model-entrepreneur’s three successive posts on that day, online users left messages of support for the single mom and her daughter.
“When I heard that Carlo Aquino got married today, I immediately thought of her and Mithi,” said an Instagram user.
“[Lotus] commonly serves as a sacred for purity, rebirth, and strength. Because lotuses rise from the mud without stains, they are often viewed as a symbol of purity,” one seemed to decode Trina’s painting on a blank wall post, with the lotus emoji as her only caption.
Another one, meanwhile, noted, “A great woman rides with the tides and enjoys it. Keep going for Mithi,” on Trina’s post showing a clip of her floating in the sea.
Trina and Carlo were together for more than two years and welcomed their daughter in 2020, before calling it quits in late 2021.
Trina’s cryptic post about giving up on partners who only give headaches in a relationship sparked speculations about their breakup.
In an interview with Ogie Diaz in 2023, Trina denied that she prohibited Carlo from seeing their daughter and that he solely shouldered their expenses.
Ogie also revealed in a YouTube video that Trina made all the preparations by herself for Mithi’s third birthday party which Carlo failed to attend.
