Melai Cantiveros gets appointed as new honorary ambassador for Korea Family Tourism

Melai Cantiveros is truly the first honor!

The celebrity mom was named as the new honorary ambassador for Korea Family Tourism in the Philippines by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO).

Melai joyfully shared the news on her Instagram page with a video and photos of her ceremonial appointment as the country’s tourism ambassador of Korea, where she received the award, together with her family.

“Kamsahamnidaaa mga Kamsamiii kung ‘di dahil sa inyu ‘di kami mapipili. This oppurtunity ay para sa inyo mga Kamsamiiii, ipapakita namin sa into ang mga happiness namin dito sa Korea,” Cantiveros expressed her gratitude to their supporters.

According to ABS-CBN News, Melai will begin serving her duties from May 21, 2024, to May 20, 2025.

“As the honorary ambassador for family tourism, Cantiveros will be the ‘celebrity representative for the Korea Tourism Organization’s family tourism promotional campaigns, programs, and events in the Philippines’,” the Kapamilya news outlet reported.

Melai previously starred in the 2023 comedy movie “Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul,” which was filmed in South Korea.

In December 2023, the comedienne went viral for her hilarious moments and interactions during the star-studded awarding event, Asia Artist Awards (AAA), where she received the AAA Best Actor Award.
