Ruru Madrid shares GF Bianca Umali’s reaction to surprise kissing scene with Angeli Khang

Kapuso heartthrob Ruru Madrid shared a recent incident where he had to delay informing his girlfriend, Bianca Umali, about a kissing scene he had with Vivamax star Angeli Khang.

The actor shared his experience with the entertainment press following the recent announcement of Khang’s addition to the cast of the GMA primetime series “Black Rider.”

The actor revealed his surprise at the first scene he shared with the sexy actress, which involved a kissing scene.

“Awkward kasi siyempre first time naming mag-meet tapos kissing scene agad,” reacted Ruru.

“Pagdating ko sa set, walang signal dahil nasa Tanay kami, pag-check ko, ‘Totoo nga, may kissing scene nga, at kanino?’ ‘Kay Miss Angeli Khang’ Medyo nagulat ako na meron na agad ganu’ng eksena,” he recounte his surprise.

He further mentioned that the script initially called for more intense scenes, including a transition to a bed scene, which he found abrupt given the context of his character’s emotional journey.

“Actually, ang nakalagay sa script, magsisimula sa kiss and then, eventually, parang mapupunta sa bed scene. Parang ganyan. So, sabi ko, ‘Wait lang po. Parang masyadong abrupt.

“So, baka too much. And of course, sa audience din lalo na’t marami po tayong tagasubaybay na mga bata,” the actor explained.

However, according to Ruru, adjustments were made which transformed the said scene to have a more romantic portrayal.

“Nung ginawa namin ’yong eksena, to be honest, hindi s’ya nagmukhang bastusin. Hindi ganu’n. Parang mas wholesome at talagang mas puso…puso, e,” he recalled.

When asked if he was ready to play in revealing love scenes, Madrid expressed willingness, but mentioned his preference for a gradual and gentle approach to such scenes, considering the audience’s sensitivity, especially young viewers.

“Feeling ko, hindi naman sa hindi ready, pero kapag kailangan naman po talaga sa eksena, gagawin ko naman,” the actor told the press.

He continued, “Pero parang pakiramdam ko naman kasi, personally, bilang isang viewer din ng Black Rider, baka sobrang abrupt. Baka masyadong mabilis lang. Pero kung mailalatag naman natin s’ya nang maayos, slowly, gently, why not?”

Ruru also candidly admitted that because of the abrupt announcement about the kissing scene along with a weak reception in their shooting location, he was not able to inform his girlfriend, Bianca Umali, before doing the scene.

“‘Pag dating ko sa set, nabasa ko na lang na meron palang mga kissing scenes. Doon ko na lang po nalaman. Akala ko diyino-joke lang ako nu’ng [production manager] namin pero totoo pala,” he added.

“Wala pong signal sa Tanay so, sabi ko, ‘Kailangan kong masabi ito agad.’ Pero wala akong choice. Gagawin ko ’yong eksena nang hindi pa n’ya nalalaman,” Ruru said, adding that he made sure to explain the situation to her after.

Despite the delayed disclosure, Ruru shared that Bianca had no negative reaction, and even expressed appreciation for his honesty.

“Na-appreciate n’ya ’yong honesty ko. Pero sabi n’ya, ‘Okay,” Ruru shared his partner’s reaction to the scene.

“Nagsasabi rin s’ya kapag may eksena s’yang ganu’n. Si Bianca kasi is very transparent so ini-expect din n’ya na ganu’n din ako sa kanya,” he added.

The actor mentioned their dynamic as a couple is built on transparency and mutual trust.

“Kasi kami transparent kami sa isa’t isa. ’Yon ’yong nahanap naming sikreto para mas maging maayos ’yong relationship namin. Dapat aware kami sa nangyayari sa isa’t isa, lalo na sa mga ganyang bagay kasi para alam namin ang expectation,” Madrid shared about their relationship.

Ruru acknowledged past mistakes while highlighting their shared commitment to growth and mutual respect.

“Nandoon na kami sa relationship namin… I mean magsi-six years na kami sa July. Hindi sa walang selosan, s’yempre, hindi naman natin maiiwasan po ’yong ganu’n pero ’yong level of trust namin buong-buo na,” he said.

Ruru recently shared romantic photos of him and Bianca on Instagram, along with a sentimental message ahead of their anniversary.
