Cassy Legaspi has also spoken about her relationship status with Darren Espanto who said they are “just best friends.”
“It’s so hard to explain what we have, pero best friends talaga kami,” the Kapuso star reiterated her platonic bond with the Kapamilya singer-actor in an interview with 24 Oras.
Cassy made the statement after Darren made a buzz when he revealed he has no girlfriend and stressed in a TV Patrol interview: “Best friends lang kami ni Cassy. Best friends talaga. It’s something a lot of people won’t get.”
“Hindi ko alam paano i-explain pero siyempre, nand’un ang pagmamahal namin para sa isa’t isa,” he added.
Cassy, meanwhile, also clarified that her and her mom’s cryptic Instagram stories that drew speculations online are nowhere related to Darren’s remarks.
“Trip ko lang, mag-post ng songs, bakit? Wala lang, kunwari may hugot lang ako for that day, or let’s say pagod lang ako from work or from the day, I just want to post lyrics sa song, pero wala talagang connect. Maybe the timing was wrong, pero other than that, [wala na].
The 23-year-old actress also came to the defense of her mom: “Si Mommy kasi nagpo-post lang siya ng mga quotes. Random, as in, araw araw may mga inspirational quotes. Minsan nga mga Bible verses kasi wala lang, trip lang ni Mommy. It really has nothing to do with anything and anyone.
Cassy’s twin Mavy also shared his reaction after Darren recently got linked to ex-girlfriend Kyline Alcantar when she guested in the noontime show It’s Showtime, saying he’s very good friends with the Kapamilya singer.
