Not just the drunk bestman: Netizens admire solid friendship of two gentlemen for two decades

This story proves that long-lasting friendship is possible in this lifetime!

Earlier this year, a drunk bestman went viral for his funny yet touching message for his best friend for two decades.

Sean Kenneth Yao and Martin Alexis Keh first met during their teenager years. From college to finally having their own families, the two have been solid since then.

I’ve been with my wife for 14 years na. Nineteen years old nagka-baby na kami ng wife ko. Si Martin lang ‘yung kaibigan ko na nandoon para sa ‘kin nung nanganak ‘yung wife ko,” Ken shared in his bestman speech last January 12, 2024 in Batangas.

Ken then went deep to share how their friendship was tested through time.

I’ve been with my wife for 14 years na.

According to newlyweds Martin and Cleo, they did not expect a funny yet touching speech from Kenneth since he is an introvert.

“Mahiyain talaga si Ken, sobra. Nagulat na lang kami. From the heart talaga ‘yung sinabi niya,” Martin said.

Totoo talaga ‘yung sinasabi ni Martin sa ‘kin, Ken is like the brother he never had. Na-prove ko na they’re really like brothers,” Cleo added.

Ken said that he was so nervous about giving the speech during the wedding. In fact, he tried preparing his speech days before the event.

Netizens were quick to comment on their friendship on social media after his bestman speech garnered more than 13 million views on Facebook.

“Sana lahat may ganyang mga kaibigan, nakakatuwa lang talaga,” a netizen commented.

“Solid Friendship hirap hanapin but grabe napaka overwhelming ng friendship na ‘to,” another said.

Ken’s wife, Kris, is a witness to the solid friendship of the two gentlemen.

“Super blessing na ‘yung husband ko is may ganung klaseng friend. Pati ako nadamay na rin makaranas nung ganung kind of friendship,” Kris said.

“Ever since talaga lagi na silang magkasama, eh. Lagi ko ngang sinasabi kay Martin, siya ‘yung first wife pero ako ‘yung legal wife,” she joked.
