Anthony Jennings speaks up on ‘sapawan’ issue with Can’t Buy Me Love co-stars DonBelle

This was actor Anthony Jennings’ response to his trending love team with Maris Racal being rivaled to Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano’s pairing in Can’t Buy Me Love.

The Kapamilya romantic series recently made headlines after collectively garnering 500 million views on social media platforms including, TikTok, Facebook, and X, according to a report by Pilipino Star Ngayon.

This was made possible by the performances and chemistry of its hottest love teams, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano’s “DonBelle”, and the newest trending pairing formed by Anthony Jennings and Maris Racal, fondly known as “SnoRene”.

On the other hand, the success was also met with negative reactions as some fans and netizens noted the “excessive” screentime of Snorene affecting DonBelle’s, who is known as the main couple in the show.

In an exclusive mediacon on Wednesday, February 7, PEP.ph and other entertainment press were able to interview Anthony about the issue.

Wala kaming ganun na mabigat na feelings,” Jennings shared on his relationship with his co-stars.

He also noted that he and the other cast members maintain a good working relationship to be able to pull off each scenes in Can’t Buy Me Love.

Anthony also shared his insights on his well-liked chemistry with Maris, saying, “Sa amin kasi, nagpi-fit kasi yung character namin sa amin sa personality naming dalawa.”

“Siguro mas nag-work ‘yung totoo ka, ‘yung hindi ka nagpapakita ng wall, parang ang saya sa amin, may freedom kami kung ano gagawin namin and nagwo-work siya e, hindi mabigat sa amin,” he added.

Meanwhile, Anthony and Maris recently starred in their first-ever music video together for their co-star Darren Espanto’s latest song, Iyo.
