‘Make sure lang na bukal sa loob’: Son gives P50k first salary to parents instead of buying PS5

A son from Pangasinan surprised his mother with a bouquet of flowers and an envelope last November 24, 2023.

At first, Mommy Laureen Velasco thought that her eldest son, Nick, was pranking her.

In the now viral video on TikTok, Mommy Laureen can be seen jumping for joy after seeing what’s inside the envelope.

I am amazed, I was really surprised. He did everything to make me and his itay happy,” Mommy Laureen recalled.

Nick later revealed that he wanted to buy a PS5 for himself and his brothers but later realized he first wanted to give back to his parents.

Nick is an electrical engineering graduate and board passer. He currently works as a college lecturer at Tarlac State University.

He handed over his P50,000 first salary to Mommy Laureen last November.

“Sana he will not change, he will be like that forever, na malambing.

Nick explained that he was able to give his whole salary to his parents since he resides with his father, who also works in the same institution.

As of this writing, the uploaded video on social media has already garnered more than 2.5 million views, which has received positive comments.

“Kung gusto n’yo pong magbigay ng sweldo kahit hindi naman po ‘yung buong sweldo n’yo, make sure lang po na bukal sa loob po nila, ‘yung hindi po sila napipilitan or hindi po nila ‘yun gagawin kasi, sa akin po, hindi ko naman po siya ginawa kasi gusto kong mag-viral,” Nick said when asked about his advice to the public.
