‘Uwi ka na, MMD’: Pinoy pageant fans react to viral video of Michelle Dee allegedly being disrespected at post-Miss U event

Supporters and colleagues of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee voiced their dismay on social media following a video where Miss Universe owner Anne Jakrajutatip allegedly disrespected the beauty queen.

In the Instagram reel uploaded by For The Philippines, Jakrajutatip can be heard repeatedly saying “move on” in front of Dee, a gesture that seemingly left the Philippine bet uncomfortable.

The video was said to be taken during the candidate’s first media guesting last Monday, Nov. 20. It has garnered more than one million views and exceeded 20,000 likes on the platform.

“I don’t like how this looks. My stomach is turning. Ewan ko. Kayo na lang ang humusga,” Dee’s close celebrity friend, Rhian Ramos, wrote in her Instagram story along with the viral video.

“Konting respeto naman,” also commented Miss Grand Philippines 2021 Samantha Panlilio.

Meanwhile, Dee updated her followers on her broadcast channel where she revealed that she felt “lightheaded” after their first media appearance, with netizens attributing it to the “disrespectful incident”.

“Don’t feel so well after the first media guesting,” Michelle said.

In separate posts, she cryptically added, “Iykyk”, and “#wmmmo,” which stands for “if you know, you know” and “walang mag-mo-move on,” respectively.

Another video of the event where Michelle appeared to be allegedly ushered away from a group photo-taking went viral online, sparking more outrage from fans and netizens who called out Jakrajutatip for her “unprofessional” treatment to the PH contender.

Dee ended her Miss Universe 2023 stint as one of the Top 10 finalists who received the “Voice of Change” special award and the prestigious “Spirit of Carnival” award, while also topping the online fan voting, in the earlier segments of the national pageant.

The result left Filipino pageant fans surprised and dismayed, which led to a flood of mixed reactions on social media.
