Former The Voice Kids PH contestant Yohance Levi Buie passes away at 17

The Voice Kids PH Season 3 contestant Yohance Buie has died at the age of 17.

His talent management, Virtual Playground Global, announced the young singer’s passing on Saturday, Nov. 11.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of YOHANCE LEVI A. BUIE. We are deeply saddened by this loss, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time,” read the agency’s Facebook post.

The agency paid tribute to Yohance’s singing journey, saying: “Yohance Buie was a remarkable talent who shone in the entertainment world. His journey began on ABS-CBN’s The Voice Kids, where his powerful voice and stage presence captivated audiences and judges alik.”

“His passion and dedication to his craft were evident in every role he took on, and he will be remembered for the indelible mark he left on the world of entertainment,” it added.

Yohance joined The Voice Kids PH in 2016 and became a part of Sharon Cuneta’s team. Additionally, he appeared in Reality MM Studios’ film “Day Zero” and featured in the BL series “The Day I Loved You” produced by Regal Entertainment.

Yohance’s remains are available for viewing at St. Peter’s Antipolo.

“We welcome friends, family, and well-wishers to pay their respects and honor his memory during this time of mourning,” his agency noted.

The Virtual Playground Global did not disclose Yohance’s cause of death.

In another statement, they reminded the public, especially young people facing mental health challenges, not to hesitate to seek help.
