“I don’t usually do this but this person deserves to be seen.”
This was how Kapuso actor Alden Richards described a good samaritan who returned his relative’s lost phone.
In his recent Facebook post, the actor extended his gratitude to an individual named Alexis Verdejolo Ohno, who made the effort to travel and return his cousin’s phone. Alden’s post also came with a photo of him together with Alexis.
According to Alden, he did everything to retrieve the device. Alexis, who turned out to be his cousin’s service driver, was the one who reached out about the lost phone.
“Since my cousin and I don’t have any means of communication, agad agad ginawa ko lahat ng way para matrace ko yung cellphone niya,” Alden shared.
He continued, “I had a call from an unknown number, not knowing kung sino yun, sinagot ko. Nagulat ako na siya pala yung service driver na nasakyan ng pinsan ko going to the gym.”
“Hindi ako nagpakilala kung sino ako, pero nag-effort siya nung sinabi ko kung pwede ko bang makuha yung phone. Without thinking twice, from Bulacan bumiyahe siya papuntang Podium, dahil meron akong screenings for 5 Breakups and a Romance,” Alden wrote.
The actor extended a heartfelt message to the kind driver, saying, “Kaya sa ‘yo Kuya Alexis Verdejolo Ohno, Mabuhay ka! Sana marami pang tao ang tumulad sayo. Maraming maraming salamat ?.”
