John Lloyd Cruz proudly admitted his relationship with Isabel Santos.
In a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Tuesday, October 24, John Lloyd was asked about his beliefs on marriage.
“Was there a time na hindi ka naniniwala sa marriage?,” Boy asked.
To which Cruz answered, “For me, the right way to put it… baka hindi ko pa nami-meet. Feeling ko it’s defined by two people. Parang it’s hard na kung ikaw lang mag-isa, para akong nagpe-pretend sa mga naging opinyon ko about it, marriage, ‘yung ganoong buhay.”
“Parang hindi ko naisip na desisyon ‘yun na ginagawa ng dalawang tao. So it’s either hindi mo pa siya nami-meet or na-meet mo na and it didn’t work,” he added.
Abunda then asked about his real score with actress Isabel Santos who was being speculated to be romantically involved with him at the time.
“Si Isabel ay girlfriend ko, boyfriend niya ako,” John Lloyd admitted.
Boy pressed for more details, but it seemed the actor preferred to keep their relationship private, saying, “We’re boring people. Wala kaming maikukuwento.”
“Ganyan lang kami,” John Lloyd added as he pointed at his photo with Isabel displayed on the screen.
“Matagal na kaming magkakilala. Gallery nila ‘yung una kong pinasok na gallery. It was at the time na bago pa lang akong tumigil with ABS-CBN. Napadpad ako sa pag-e-explore, so gallery nila ang una kong napasok,” he shared.
Isabel is the granddaughter of the late painter and cartoonist Mauro “Malang” Santos.
He continued, “Matagal na kaming magkakilala. We were talking before pero hindi nag-evolve into something ideal for us at that time at mula noon, present na siya sa buhay ko.”
John Lloyd recently went on an overseas vacation with Isabel’s family, as seen in photos posted on her Instagram.
The actress also shared photos of John Lloyd with his son Elias, penning a Happy Father’s Day message to the celebrity dad.
