Marco Gumabao confirmed that celebrity friend group “Nguya Squad” had a falling out.
The actor revealed this during an interview with talent manager Ogie Diaz in his Youtube channel, saying the matter is an “open secret”.
Nguya squad is composed of Marco, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Ria Atayde, Khalil Ramos, Gabbi Garcia, Patrick Sugui, Aerielle Garcia, Dominic Roque, Joe Vargas, and Bianca Yanga.
“Nagkaroon ng falling out between sa kanila. I mean normal naman yata sa magkakaibigan ‘yun, Marco shared.
Marco, who claimed he wasn’t involved in the rift that happened in their group, said he’s not in the position to talk about it.
“Wala akong problema sa kahit sino sa kanila…Pero hindi naman siya sa big deal na sobra pero, nagka-falling out. Ako for me, wala ako sa gulo na ‘yun,” he said.
Although misunderstandings are common among friend groups, Marco
“Of course, [gusto mabuo ulit]. Kasi kami ‘yung solid na solid ever since before, ‘di ba? Nakakalungkot na may mga times na — ganun talaga eh. Sa barkada hindi talaga nakukumpleto or may times na magkaka-falling out,” said the actor.
“So ‘yun ‘yung mga times na nakakalungkot kasi, ako bilang kaibigan gusto ko lahat tayo happy. Gusto ko lahat tayo walang problema.
“Hindi naman pwedeng masabi sa mga tao na ‘O kalimutan mo na lang yung ganitong nagawa ni ganito o yung ganitong nagawa ni ganyan’, di ba?
“May kanya-kanyang feelings yan. May kanya kanyang feelings na may mga mahu-hurt, may masasaktan and you can’t tell other people to huwag mong maramdaman ‘yung feeling na ‘yan kasi sila ‘yun e.”
Marco, nonetheless, hopes that his friends would patch things up with each other.
“Sana magkaayos kasi hindi naman siya sikreto, ‘di ba? Kumbaga it’s an open secret na ganu’n. But yeah, for me, sana magkaayos lahat,” he said.
It can be recalled that the celebrity barkada sparked “friendship breakup” after Kathryn and Daniel’s absence in Aerielle and Patrick’s wedding.
Patrick earlier clarified that the two were out taping for a series so they couldn’t attend his wedding.
Kathryn and Daniel were once again missing on Joe and Bianca’s wedding but a photo of the actor with then newly-married friends Patrick and Joe would later shut the speculations that they weren’t on good terms.
