This man got confused if he was answering questions from his professor or just having a random conversation with his girlfriend’s dad, who is a physician.
On June 23, 2023, Julyanna Bles Esguerra was able to capture the moment between her cardiologist father Achilles and Physical Therapy student-boyfriend Scud Tzar Del Pilar.
“Pag-upo na pag-upo ng boyfriend ko po, biglang pong nagtanong na ‘yung dad ko na, ‘Oh, anong course mo?’ Nagulat na lang po ako. ‘Oh alam mo ‘yung anatomy ‘di ba?’ ‘Alam mo dapat ‘yung muscle,’ gumanon po ‘yung dad ko. Unexpectedly na nag-ask po siya ng questions,” Julyanna told The Philippine STAR.
“‘Pag nasagot daw naman niya po lahat, papayagan po ako [sa] meet-up sa parents niya po. Kinakabahan po ako pero alam ko naman po na magaling po ‘yung boyfriend ko,” she added.
Julyanna said that it was the first sit-down conversation of Daddy Achilles and Scud that’s why even herself was shocked by her dad’s conversation opener.
For Scud’s part, he said he didn’t expect the medical-related conversation with Julyanna’s father.
“More than 10 question po ‘yun. ‘Yun po ‘yung pinakamatagal na nagsama kami ng daddy niya. Kailangan lang po talaga ng composure para makasagot po sa tanong niya. Parang nagiging ka-vibes ko po then ano, marami rin po ako nalalaman kaya masarap rin po kausap ‘yung daddy niya. na syempre po medical field tas ano, doctor din po so bale parang professor ko rin po ‘yung kaharap ko,” Scud recalled.
After Scud successfully answered the questions, Daddy Achilles allowed the two lovers to continue their day-out plans.
“Tuwang-tuwa po [tapos] at the same time po, nakakatuwa din at least nasagot ko. Nung nasagot ko po ‘yung parang mga question ng daddy niya, parang lalo din po ako ginaganahan na kailangan mas marami pa akong matutunan,” Scud said.
Julyanna later asked her dad about the real reason behind his questions to her boyfriend after she was also caught off guard with the situation.
“Tinanong ko po if he’s joking po na to question ng ganon po. Sabi naman hindi daw, kailangan parang Inaano niya po na, if nag-aaral po talaga nang mabuti kasi PT po talaga, pang seryosong course po ‘yun,” she said.
“Kaya syempre as a doctor [and father], kailangan niya po parang alamin if nag-aaral po talaga siya nang mabuti. Sabi ko, ‘Oh, dad kamusta ‘yung interview mo?’ Sabi niya, ‘Okay naman, very good. Nasagutan niya, tama,’ ganun. Basta daw just be confident daw,” she shared.
Scud admitted that while he was nervous about Daddy Achilles’ questions, he made sure to answer everything with confidence.
“Maaadvise ko po sa mga magpapakilala rin po sa mga tatay po ng girlfriend nila, siguro po ano, sinabihan po kasi ako ni Yanna na “just be yourself lang.”Hindi ko naman po kailangan na magpanggap pa sa daddy niya basta ipakita ko lang po kung sino ‘yung tunay na ako,” he stressed.
