Kristel Fulgar asks netizens to move on from cancelled hosting gig issue

Kristel Fulgar wants to put an end to the controversy surrounding the last-minute cancellation of her hosting gig for South Korean Seo In Guk’s fanmeet.

In a video released on Facebook, the former Goin’ Bulilit star in Facebook assured fans that all is well with her, saying getting replaced as host at the said event weeks ago wasn’t a big deal for her.

Mindset lang yan,” said Kristel.

“Sa bashers diyan, magbagong buhay na tayo. Ay, kayo lang pala,” she added, addressing the naysayers online.

Despite knowing that hosting would be challenging because it was not her forte, Kristel shared she chose to accept the offer to host the fanmeet of In Guk, her ultimate idol, after getting support from fellow fans of the actor.

So bakit ako ang kinuha?

Kristel also went into detail about how she did three rehearsals, only to be told at the last run that she would not be hosting the event anymore.

The YouTube vlogger also addressed criticisms over supposedly lacking energy and not giving her best during the rehearsal.

“The show starts at 7pm so I was trying to save my energy and my voice for the actual event. I knew that hosting is different from singing so I was trying to be careful not to overuse my voice.”

Kristel said she also thought of her fans who bought tickets to see her in the show.

So pano ‘yun?”

Kristel also recalled the Korean technical director being adamant about the decision to replace her as a host.

If anything, Kristel said she has already moved forward from the issue, and is happy over having a one-on-one interaction with In Guk backstage.

An hour before In Guk’s fanmeet event on August 12, Kristel shocked fans with a message announcing the hosting cancellation.

Former Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity housemate and TV/Events host Karen Bordador eventually showed up on stage to take over as the show’s host.
