Taeil of K-pop boy group NCT was reportedly involved in a minor motorcycle accident, his talent agency SM Entertainment announced on Tuesday, August 15.
“Taeil was involved in an accident while riding his motorcycle back home from a schedule. He was transported to the hospital immediately and received an examination as well as treatment,” the statement read.
The agency revealed that the artist suffered a “fracture in his right thigh” which will require him to undergo surgery. He is currently receiving necessary care at the hospital while preparing for the operation.
According to the label, Taeil will be taking a break from future schedules including the group’s upcoming tour “NCT Nation: To The World” to focus on his treatment and recovery.
“We ask for the fans’ understanding regarding the fact that Taeil will not be able to participate in NCT’s group concert ‘NCT Nation: To The World’ scheduled to take place on August 26. We sincerely apologize to the fans for causing concerns with the sudden news,” SM Entertainment told fans.
“The label promises to prioritize Taeil’s health above all else, and we will all that we can so that Taeil may greet fans once again healthy and well,” the statement continued.
