Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Kiara Takahashi surprised her fans after airing a heartbreaking revelation about her “loveteam” with Gino Roque IV, popularly known as “KiaNo”.
A TikTok live session of the ex-housemate became a hot topic for netizens where she claimed that her romantic gestures with Gino were allegedly “scripted” and “forced” to please their fans.
In the video, Kiara narrated how Gino coerced her to go along with his plans to make their tandem click to the general public, despite her disagreement with it.
The two became part of the Pinoy Big Brother: Otso where they started showing off their chemistry with each other and gained a lot of fans.
However, Kiara did not expect that things between them were about to change after getting out of the PBB house.
According to Kiara, her relationship with Gino became like a “business matter” where every action between them was organized and done according to plans.
The Kapamilya actress shared one instance of them being a made-up couple, “May one time lumabas kami, sabi niya sa akin ‘Magtago ka, dapat walang makakita sa atin kasi ang dapat ano nililigawan kita’ ganun. So, kunwari mahiyain siya, ganyan, nililigawan [niya ako]. So, kaya ako kunwari magtatago sa likod.”
“Ako naman si t*nga-t*nga naniwala ako. Pumunta ako sa likod ng kotse, nagtatago ako. It was so funny na, ‘Why do I have to go to the back?’ Sabi ko pa sa kanya, ‘So, even yung nagtatrabaho sa fast food na yon, bawal tayong makita?’ Sabi niya, ‘Oo, kaya dapat magtago ka sa likod.’ Ako naman, sunud-sunuran ako, kasi hindi ko naman alam,” Kiara narrated.
She revealed that ever since they got out of the house, she can only recall one real date between them.
“Actually, ever since I got out of the house, the real date was that date doon sa restaurant sa tapat ng ABS-CBN,” Kiara shared. “Pagpunta ko dun, sobrang daming camera, ang sabi may dinner date daw, magde-date daw kami. In short, sobrang scripted.”
She continued, “I felt like I was in an aquarium, para akong hayop na pinagpipiyestahan ng mga tao. Pero sabi ko, ‘Baka ito yung tama, kasi ito yung for the showbiz.”
Kiara expressed her discomfort over being followed by cameras during their dates. At that time, she started feeling uncomfortable as she felt that they were always being watched by an audience.
After their dinner, Kiara and Gino had their first fight that night.
“I was crying to him and I was telling him, ‘You know what I really felt uncomfortable, how you did that because you asked me on a date and hindi ko in-expect na all throughout the date there was a camera na nakatuktok sa atin’,” Kiara told her Gino.
However, Gino insisted that he was only doing it for their fans to keep supporting them
Kiara revealed that even during a mall show in Pampanga, Gino was still dictating how she should act as his partner including refraining from holding hands, acting shy, and pretending that they were not close at all, just to appease their fans
She added they still had to act like they were being managed even in private places.
“Ang hirap naman kasi private na nga ito. Okay, gets ko na love team, so dapat pa-cute ganyan on TV. But, like, this is our management, this is us, right? We don’t have to fake anything, even if it’s just us,” said Kiara.
“That’s what it hurts me, because it was like this person knows how to plan things,” she added.
Kiara clarified that she had no intentions to make Gino a bad person but merely pointed out that they had different life choices and career paths which led to the current state of their relationship.
She aired that she decided to speak up to release the burden she’s been carrying, revealing her struggles with anxiety and depression from not being able to defend herself for the past years.
“I’m saying this not because… hindi ko alam, sinasabi ko to because I haven’t defended myself for almost five years and it caused me so much anxiety and depression,” she said.
“And now, I’m telling the truth, I don’t know… Plano ko na mag-vlog, magpa-interview pero walang tamang timing. I guess this is it. I’m sorry if I’m saying this on TikTok,” added Kiara.
As of writing, Gino has not made a statement or reaction to Kiara’s statements.
