‘Truly blessed and grateful’: Maine Mendoza tearful in bridal shower on E.A.T.

Maine Mendoza couldn’t help but shed tears after her fellow Dabarkads organized a bridal shower for her on E.A.T. on Saturday.

During the noontime show’s Da Bar segment, the bride-to-be, clad in white dress, sat on a white chair as her co-hosts prepared special performances for her.

Maine also received gifts and heartwarming messages from the TVJ trio — Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon — and the rest of Dabarkads hosts.

“Handa ka na simula ng iyong habang panahon,” said a part of TVJ’s message that made Maine tear up.

The 28-year-old actess continued to express her gratitude in an Instagram post, writing: “Napaka saya ng puso ko. I am so blessed and I am truly grateful. Maraming salamat sa lahat, Lord. Maraming salamat sa pagtanggap at sa pagmamahal, dabarkads. Mula noon hanggang ngayon. 14344!”

Maine first gained popularity after her Dubsmash videos went viral. She eventually starred as “Yaya Dub” on Eat Bulaga’s “Kalyeserye” segment, which led to the birth of her then phenomenal team-up with Alden Richards.

The actress got engaged to longtime boyfriend Arjo Atayde in July 2022. The couple is expected to tie the knot later this month.
