Andrea Brillantes and Ricci Rivero appeared to have broken up after a year of being together.
This after Ricci posted about moving on peacefully amid speculations that they have called it quits.
“I own up to the mistake of not making my relationship status public because I felt there’s no need to add up to what we’re going through,” the basketball player wrote in a tweet on Friday.
“Please respect our decision to keep it to ourselves so that we can preserve what’s left of our friendship,” he added.
The cager also asked the public not to drag others amid speculations hounding their split.
“I hope let’s stop creating your own versions and dragging other characters into these false accusations.
“I am sorry for whatever disappoinments it may have caused you – for everyone’s peace of mind, please allow ourselves to heal and move on peacefully without hate and pain,” he concluded.
Ricci and Andrea made their relationship official last year when the former asked the actress to be his girlfriend in public, after winning his UAAP basketball match.
The two celebrated their first anniversary as a couple last April 9.
