If there is a best high school squad award, this group would definitely win the medal!
In a viral video uploaded by Jece Ilar on TikTok, the class was seen celebrating after their adviser announced that their friend, Prince Delos Santos, would be joining the school’s JS prom.
“Sa last count natin, ang sasama ay 31. Another person was added to our list of attendees…Si Prince!” the teacher can be heard saying in the video.
Meanwhile, the class was spotted rejoicing with Prince as they were very excited to attend their first prom.
At first, Prince admitted that he was sad after learning that he needed P7,500 for the JS prom at Okada Manila.
Medyo madami na ring iniisip kasi sa bahay,” he said.
During lunch break, Prince broke the news to his friends, saying that he won’t be able to join the prom due to financial problem.
Mission accomplished! The group along with their classmates managed to pay for Prince’s JS prom fees.
Prince did not expect that his friends and classmates would make such an effort just to be with him on their special day.
Hindi classmate lang ‘yung turingan namin, parang magkakapatid,” he said.
I’m very thankful na naging kaibigan ko kayo.
It was indeed a memorable night for Prince and his classmates on March 31, 2023.
Sobrang saya po talaga as in sobrang saya,” Prince echoed.
Netizens were touched by the small act of kindness of Prince’s classmates.
The uploaded video on social media has already garnered more than 3.8 million views on TikTok.
“Hindi ‘yung P7500 ang may value dito kung hindi ‘yung feeling na mas masaya ang prom kapag kasama ka friend ? kudos to your friends,” a netizen commented.
“Mabait cguro yan batang yan, kasi pati kabilang section nag ambag,” another netizen added.
Jece hopes to inspire more individuals to help anyone who is in need, especially their friends.
Antayin niyo lang po,” he said.
