Bretman Rock ends book launch in Phl: ‘This is home and it will be forever be HOME’

Filipino-American YouTube star Bretman Rock became sentimental after his successful book launch in the Philippines last week.

In an Instagram post, Bretman shared a glimpsed of his two-day book tour in Manila.

“This is all because of a little Filipino Bakla that dreamed he was gonna be artista one day And he was going to make it happen one way or another,” he wrote in the caption.

“That little boy planted so many seeds for me so that I can flourish today and I’m forever doing everything for him and because of him…. I’m literally in tears every morning that I’ve been here this week, im home, this is home and it will forever be HOME. Thank you for everything Philippines you have changed my life forever,” he added.

During the day two of his book launch at the Mall of Asia, Bretman talked about his newly launched memoir.

“Obviously, everybody’s story is unique and not everybody’s story is exactly the same, but I feel like there is definitely a chapter or a certain essay in my book that you might relate to,” Bretman said.

Bretman also revealed that he spent four days reading his own book for the audiobook version. His mother, Mercedita and cousin Keiffer or famously known as “Miskaaaye” were also present in the event.

Around 300 lucky winners had the chance to interact with Bretman, while hundreds of individuals watched the event at the two locations.

His book You’re That B*tch: & Other Cute Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself will tackle how his childhood in the Philippines, his family, Filipino heritage, and being a first-generation immigrant helped shape him into who he is today. RELATED STORY:
