For the views? Vlogger ‘couple’ featured in KMJS admits fake relationship

Vloggers Ronnie Suan, a.k.a. “Boy Tapang,” and Filipina-American LJ Satterfield, whose “love story” was featured in Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho, are embroiled in a bitter social media feud as they revealed the truth behind their “relationship.

Just a month after they appeared in the Kapuso magazine TV show, fans speculated if the two already called it quits following their cryptic posts online.

Amid their falling out and a series of their private conversations⁰ reveal on their respective Facebook pages, Ronnie and LJ confessed that their romance was only for show, with the former accusing the latter of using him to gain more subscribers and views.

“YES ITS ONLY FOR TANDEM!!! And all I did was do my part. And make it work. As content creators, this is a normal thing.. At alam ng mga creators yan,” LJ revealed in a Facebook post.

While LJ acknowledged Ronnie’s help in growing her channel, she lambasted the latter for calling her a “user”, saying they both reaped benefits from each other due to their tandem.

“Yes, tinulungan moko mapalago ang channel ko. And I will always be thankful dahil totoo naman talaga nakuha natin yung goal.. nakakuha ako ng silver play button. Bumalik mga promotions mo, dumami uli views mo.

“Wag mong sabihin na ginamit kita. Dahil ginamit mo din ako. Sa lahat ng vlogs natin nisingkong duling wla katurneng nagastos at alam mo yan i never took advantage of you. . imbis iappreciate mo ang efforts ko, hindi eh,” read some part of her lengthy Facebook post.

LJ also hit Ronnie for his alleged shortcomings while they were together. “Binash ako bat daw ako pumatol sayo??? Kailanman hindi kita pinatulan.. At walang naging tayo.”

“Mga green jokes at pambabastos iniintindi ko lng yun. Pra masaya at nakakatawa mga content natin.. Nagwork naman. We did well naman sa tandem. Napanindigan naman natin,” she said.

Ronnie, for his part, admitted he was caught off guard with LJ’s beauty, even having feelings for her, only to learn that she was in a relationship at the time.

“Sinabi na niya na may jowa sya nung umamin ako sa kanya na unti unti akong nahulog sa kanya. So ano ibig sabihin dyan? Dun palang nagsinunggaling na sya kasi gusto niya talaga sumakay sakin kasi matagal niya pangarap sumikat Haha kapal ng mukha noh?,” wrote Ronnie in a Facebook post.

He added, “Nagsisi rin ako at nasaktan nag reveal ako ng jowa na hindi ko naman jowa masakit lang isipin na ang dami pala magsusuporta sa maging relasyon ko kaso hindi ko jowa ni reveal ko.

Ronnie, who’s known for his exotic food vlogs, and has more than 2 million subscribers on Youtube, was featured in an episode of Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho together with LJ last January.

“Gusto ko foreigner talaga.‘Yun talaga yung dream girl ko. Kahit pangit ako may pangarap din ako,” Ronnie was quoted as saying in the KMJS interview, saying that it was “love at first sigh”.

LJ, on the other hand, admitted that Ronnie was not her type physically, but they easily “clicked”.

“Yung naramdaamn ko takot, charot. Yung awra niya po napkagaan sobrang daming bagay na parehas kami ng hilig.

“Hindi po talaga ako nakatingin sa panlabas na itsura,” she said, describing Ronnie as a “humble, “kind”, and “god-fearing” person.

Ronnie and LJ’s KMJS episode garnered over 10 million views in less than 24 hours on Facebook.
