Andrew Schimmer’s wife passes away

Actor Andrew Schimmer’s fiancée Jorhomy “Jho” Rovero, who was in coma for almost a year, passed away on Tuesday.

Andrew took to Facebook Tuesday afternoon to announce the heartbreaking news about the death of his fiancée, who suffered from severe asthma that led to cardiac arrest and hypoxia.

“Ikukwento ko lang sa inyo, at the same time, ibabalita ang pinakamalungkot na and pinaka-worst na balita na pwede niyong marinig,” Andrew said in a video.

The actor said he was taping for an episode of GMA 7’s Family Feud when he got a call from the hospital about his fiancée’s medical condition.

“Biglang nawala yung kanyang blood pressure and everything, nawala lahat pati yung oxygen saturation and heart rate,” shared Andrew.

Andrew immediately left the taping and rushed to the hospital to get to his fiancée.

“Inabutan natin siyang nire-revive ng mga doctors and nurses. They did ever they could. Ang sakit lang, gusto ko lang ibalita sa inyo,” he said.

The actor then got emotional after expressing gratitude to those who offered prayers and joined them in their journey.

“Maraming, maraming salamat sa mga nagdasal, sa mga taong hindi po nang-iwan sa amin, thank you,” an emotional Andrew said.

The dad of two also shed tears over his wife’s passing a day before their youngest’s birthday.

“Ang sakit lang kasi birthday ng bunso ko mamaya, hindi siya inabutan ng bunso namin.

“Ito sya ngayon, wala ng buhay yung kamay niya,” said Andrew as he shared to his followers a last look on his fiancée.

Andrew, who’s been tirelessly updating his followers about Jho’s condition, earlier shared a photo of their hands together wearing their wedding rings.

“The Love of my Life…my wife..my best friend.. my partner in everything. Remember your promise, together forever.”

On December 10, the actor expressed his intention to tie the knot with Jho despite her medical condition, posting a photo of the two rings.

Netizens, meanwhile showered the actor with words of condolences.
