Angel Aquino penned an emotional letter for her daughter Thea who recently graduated from college.
The actress took to social media to apologize to her daughter for not “trusting” that this day would come.
In past interviews, Angel revealed her daughter was born with congenital hydrocephalus.
“I’m sorry if all those years, I did not fully trust that I’ll ever see this day.
“Your doctors said to be ready for the worst: speech, movement, comprehension are all challenged and may not even come; that you might stay in bed your whole life,” she wrote.
Despite these challenges, the celebrity mom shared they persevered one step at a time.
She added: “Yet we kept on going, with no rush and no pressure – each day, each year, one school, one milestone at a time.
“Look where you took me today. We’ve gone miles from that bed, haven’t we?”
In the same post, Angel expressed her gratitude for her daughter’s determination that has made them reach this special milestone.
“Thank you for being unlimited, undaunted, unafraid. Your indomitable spirit powered through thea. That is your gift from God. Don’t ever lose it.
“(Life is half fate and halfyou. Half blessings and half hard work. Grateful that my daughters are way better people than me,” she ended.
Based on the snaps from her social media post, it seems Thea has earned her college degree from De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde.
