ABS-CBN Films refutes Rhys Miguel’s claims of management inaction on Patrick Quiroz issue

ABS-CBN Films contradicted Rhys Miguel’s statement on an alleged incident involving a co-star in a series, saying it “swiftly took appropriate action” on the matter.

In a statement released on Wednesday night, ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc (AFPI) said it “immediately conducted an investigation upon receiving the actor’s complaint in December 2020 and swiftly took appropriate action to protect the rights of everyone involved.”

The statement added, “AFPI takes these matters seriously. The safety, dignity, and privacy of our people are our utmost priority.”

Rhys, a former Pinoy Big Brother teen housemate, earlier accused former co-actor Patrick Quiroz of sexual misconduct, claiming he was “molested” by the latter during a lock-in taping for a series.

Rhys also alleged in his Instagram live on Tuesday that the actor-singer did “lascivious acts” towards other cast members in the series and that the management did not act on it.

The actor is mulling on taking legal actions against Patrick.

“I have proof of everything, and I have multiple witnesses…I’m probably gonna take him to court,” said Rhys.

Patrick, meanwhile, has yet to address the allegations. This space remains open for his side on the issue.
