Dennis Padilla seemed to express dismay on social media after his children Julia, Claudia and Leon Barretto missed greeting him on Father’s Day.
Through Instagram posts on Wednesday, the celebrity dad reminded his children with ex-wife Marjorie Barretto’s in a lighthearted tone, that they forgot to greet him on the said occasion last June 19.
Posting a throwback photo of eldest Julia together with Claudia, Dennis wrote, “Miss you both… You forgot to greet me last Sunday… Hehe! Love you… God bless you more,” along with praying hand and heart emoji.
For Father’s Day celebration, Julia greeted boyfriend Gerald Anderson a “Happy Pawther’s Day” via Instagram story, with a photo of them together with a furbaby.
In a subsequent post, Dennis shared a throwback pic of him with son Leon.
“Leon… You forgot to greet me last Sunday … hehe… Love you ingat,” said Dennis.
Dennis, however, has since deleted the said Instagram posts.
Dennis and Marjorie were together for 14 years before they got separated.
In an episode of Toni Gonzaga’s Toni Talks in May 2021, Marjorie related how she was misjudged by people who thought that she encouraged her kids to not have a good relationship with their father.
“As a matter of fact, even Dennis thought for a long time that I was the one preventing him from seeing my kids.
“No, eh. I want my kids to have peace with both parent, I don’t want them to harbor hatred kasi mabigat ‘yun, lalo na kung magulang mo yung kaaway mo,” said Marjorie.
To recall, Julia made amends with her father in 2015, after an alleged snubbing incident with the latter.
