Karen Davila is proud of her son David who voted for the first time

Karen Davila is one proud mom as her son David, who is living with autism, was finally able to vote for the first time.

The veteran broadcast journalist took to social media to share how her and her husband DJ Sta. Ana’s son was keen on exercising his right to vote.

“DJ and I went thru sample ballots with David. Explained to him what the candidates stood for and helped him with his list,” she said.

On election day, her 20-year-old son lined up for four hours to cast his vote for the first time.

“As a mom of a special child, it makes me SO GRATEFUL and HAPPY that David is aware, concerned and very present in the moment!

“Kids in the Autism Spectrum can live better lives if parents intervene early! As a parent, this is the best gift we can give them,” she wrote.

Karen shared snaps of David in line with his father to cast their votes, and one with him featuring his finger marked with indelible ink.
