Senatorial aspirant Salvador Panelo is open to having a concert for the children with special needs with megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Fellow senatoriable Robin Padilla recently shared a Facebook post featuring Panelo’s music video and cover of Sharon’s hit song Sana’y Walang Wakas and suggested for the two to share the stage with the children with special needs.
“Ano kaya tatay boss Vic ng Viva Films Isang concert sa pagitan ni kambal mam Sharon Cuneta Pangilinan at ni sir sec Salvador “Sal Panalo” Panelo para sa mga special children
at maging hudyat na (kilusan) ng mga senador at magiging senador na makagawa ng panukalang batas para sa kapakanan ng mga batang may special needs,” wrote Robin in a Facebook post.
To which Panelo replied: “Game ako dyan Senator Robin!
Sharon’s Sanay’ Walang Wakas took the spotlight in the past month after she called out Panelo on social media for singing her song in a campaign sortie of vice presidential bet Sara Duterte, telling him not to mess with the classic.
The singer also barred him from singing the song in campaign events of her husband vice presidential bet Kiko Pangilinan’s rival political parties.
Panelo, however, clarified in a statement that he used the song in remembrance of his late son who had down syndrome, and stressed that he actually got the song’s copyright owner Viva Records to sing the song.
Sharon later deleted her rants online against Panelo and apologized “for the words I used in my post, and to those I have hurt by them”.
