Mocha Uson has undergone surgery after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle accident.
The former OWWA deputy administrator who’s running as first nominee of MOCHA party list recently announced that she figured in a motorcycle accident while campaigning in Bataan last week.
Due to the impact, Uson shared she will have to undergo surgery for her fractured collarbone, an MRI for her right knee, as well as other tests to determine other damages in her body.
“Buti nalang po ako ay naka-safety gears dahil kung hindi ay siguradong labnos ang tuhod ko at braso. Kung hindi ako naka-riding boots siguradong bali ang paa ko,” wrote Mocha in a Facebook post.
On Thursday, Uson thanked those who sent her prayers and messages of support as she underwent her surgery.
She added, “Hindi ko alam kung papaano tayo mangangampanya nito basta ang aking alam ay isa lamang itong pagsubok. Tuloy tuloy ang ating pakikipaglaban para sa ating mga ina at kababaihan. Salamat sa mga tutulong mangampanya para sa ating MOCHA PARTY LIST”.
Uson is running alongside beauty queen Michelle Gumabao under Mothers for Change or MOCHA party-list for this year’s election.
The two previously drew criticism for running under the party-list despite not being mothers themselves.
In a Facebook post, Mocha explained her party-list name. “Hindi naman ako INA… Wala akong asawa, wala akong anak.. Tama po kyo… Pero meron akong INA… si DRA. Estrellita J. Uson.”
