BB Gandanghari is more than happy to share her first mammogram experience, highlighting the importance of cancer prevention for women.
The YouTube vlogger shared that her insurance and medical provider mandated annual physical checkup includes a mammogram, which aims for the early detection of breast cancer.
“First time to do this and totally feel like a woman…why? Because only women do this for their yearly physical check up as required by the insurance and medical provider,” she wrote.
On another social media post, she stressed how early breast cancer prevention is important, especially for women on hormone replacement therapy.
“I’m going to get mey results soon and i’m praying that I’ll be clear of any indication of early stages of #breastCancer… Mammogram is very important for every woman, especially so when one is on Hormone Replace Therapy like myself,” she said.
It was in 2016, when Gandanghari was officially recognized as a female by a Los Angeles court. A decade prior, she came out as gay when she was a housemate at ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother.
