Ryan Bang apologizes to Yeng Constantino for ‘ghosting’ her in the past

Ryan Bang and Yeng Constantino “finally” had their closure 12 years after missing their chance at “almost” becoming a couple in the past.

During the January 28 episode of It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan, Yeng and Ryan’s history was brought up after the singer, while jokingly alluding to the latter in her comment about the pain of being ghosted.

Naku, napakasakit talaga. ‘Di ba nga, Ryan, ‘di ba?” said Yeng.

Vice Ganda then inititiated a “real talk” between the two, asking Ryan how long it took him to get over being “rejected” by Yeng.

Yeng, however made it clear that she did not turn down the South Korean but “Pinoy at heart” It’s Showtime co-host.

“Hindi kita binasted,” Yeng told Ryan. “Tumigil lang magpadala ng kape,” she said when asked what went wrong at that time.

Ryan then recalled how he used to have eyes only for Yeng and started to court her in 2010 by sending her coffee and going out to church together.

“Naaalala ko pa tuwing Thursday, may taping siyan diyan sa PBB, nagpadala ako ng kape, tapos nagsimba pa tayo together tuwing Linggo.”

Ryan then explained why he did not pursue Yeng and stopped sending her coffee, as he assumed that she had no interest in him.

Asked how she felt about Ryan’s actions, Yeng admitted that she felt kilig with his efforts but got saddened and hurt when it suddenly went astray.

“Sobang nakakakilig kaya si Ryan noon, dati…Oo, na-sad ako nun.” said Yeng.

Yeng also indicated how her relationship with Ryan could’ve turned into something more.

Pero nung time na ‘yun kilig na kilig talaga ‘ko sa kanya,” said Yeng who is now married to her husband, Yan Asuncion.

Ryan, who confessed that Yeng was his huge and first Filipina crush furthered to explain his side.

The It’s Showtime co-host then aired his apologies to the singer, and what he could’ve done in the past.

In a video shared by It’s Showtime on Twitter, the two were seen sharing a hug and talking over the “closure” that transpired.

“Pero totoo, okay na ako. Siyempre may asawa na ako. At least may closure na tayo,” Yeng told Ryan in the video.

Vice Ganda then left this advice to the viewers of noontime show: “Kaya ganun, sa mga tao, kung matapang kayong pumasok sa mundo ng kahit kanino, dapat matapang din kayong magpaalam kung mawawala na kayo.”
