Ben&Ben has postponed their performance at the Expo Dubai 2020 on January 27 due to COVID-19 cases “within the band” and their team.
The OPM folk band made the announcement on their social media pages, reassuring their fans that they will make their best effort to recover.
While the group did not specify who were affected with the virus, they shared that it was the best decision to put their performance on hold for everyone’s health and safety.
“We understand how this will come as a disappointment to many of you who were looking forward to meeting us there, but we as a band decided it to be the best decision in the interest of everyone’s health to postpone the performance. We humbly ask for your kind understanding as those of us affected recover from COVID,” their statement read.
The nine-piece band made sure that they announce a new concert date on their social media channels.
Their statement also included a special thank you for their fanbase, Liwanag, for their understanding during this difficult time for the band.
“Thank you so much, Liwanag, for your patience and understanding. We’ll keep you posted with updates regarding this as soon as possible,” it ended.
Ben&Ben were slated to perform their new song, Comets, for the first time during their Dubai performance.
