Vice Ganda has revealed that he refused an offer to run for a high position in the 2022 elections because of this reason.
The comedian-host recently appeared in celebrity doctor Vicki Belo’s vlog where he answered questions from fellow celebrities.
For his part, Vice Ganda’s former Praybeyt Benjamin co-star Derek Ramsay asked the It’s Showtime host if he has plans of getting into politics.
Vice responded by saying that although he has no plans at present, he is not fully closing his doors to the idea of joining politics.
“Sa ngayon, no. Ayoko magsalita ng patapos,” further adding that he was offered a position that caught him off guard.
“Basta mataas na position na naloka ako,” said Vice Ganda.
The 45-year-old added that although he feels he has a good chance of winning, he thinks he is not suited for politics at the moment.
“Hindi ako magaling dun. Pwede akong manalo, feeling ko pwede akong manalo kasi marami akong followers, maraming fans, baka maraming boboto sa akin, maraming natutuwa sa akin. Pero ako sa sarili ko, ngayon, hindi ako magaling ‘dun.
“So bakit ako pupunta ‘dun? Ano ‘yun ipapahamak ko ang Pilipinas?,” he added in jest.
“Not because you can win, you will run,” he said.
