Netizens commended Marc Pingris for fulfilling his promise to run in his village wearing a bra after the Philippine team won in the M3 Mobile Legends World Championship.
The retired basketball player previously made the dare days before the esports event, saying that he would run around their village in his undergarment should the country emerge as champions.
“Hello Guys, Marc Pingis here. Rooting po para sa Pilipinas M3 tournament. ‘Pag nanalo ang Pilipinas M3, tatakbo po akong naka-bra dito sa village namin. Gagawin ko po yan para sa Pilipinas,” Marc stated in a video uploaded on his Facebook page on December 11.
Blacklist International was hailed as the M3 Mobile Legends World champions and basketball and esports fans made sure to remind Marc of the promise he made.
Two days after the championship, Marc posted a video of him doing his dare as promised, and netizens couldn’t help but applaud the former PBA player for being a “man of his word” and a “good sport”.
“Blacklist International, congrats sa inyo. Katulad ng promise ko, tumakbo ako na naka-bra sa village namin kahit nakakahiya,” Marc said in the video of him wearing a black bra.
“Katuwaan lang to guys. Proud lang talaga tyo sa naabot ng team nila,” added Marc.
“Shoutout sa misis ko, sorry baby pero kailangan kong gawin ‘to,” Marc told his wife Danica Sotto.
Marc also sent a message to Onic Philippines who went up against Blacklist International and won 1st-runner up.
“Sa Onic din, congrats din sa inyo kahit hindi kayo nag-champion. Para sa amin, nag-champion na rin kayo.”
The said video has 2.7 million views and more than 240,000 reactions on Facebook, as of writing.
