Winwyn Marquez is expecting her first child with her non-showbiz partner.
The Kapuso actress announced her pregnancy on Saturday, via a vlog titled “The Start of a New Chapter” on her YouTube channel.
“Yes.. there it is. Me and my partner we’re both so happy. My family, everyone super saya namin,” Winwyn stated in the five-minute video after showing clips of her mom Alma Moreno and dad Joey Marquez, and other family member’s reaction to her pregnancy news.
Winwyn expressed her joy and excitement over welcoming their baby, adding that she and her partner waited for the right time to share the happy news to the public.
“Gusto ko sabihin sa inyo yung nangyari sa akin and yung blessing na binigay sa amin. We’re so happy. Me and my partner are so happy. We’re over the moon. I’m so excited for this part of our life and for this chapter to start.”
“It’s such a good Christmas gift for me and my partner, for my family, for my parents. I’m so excited. We are so excited to meet our little bundle of joy soon. That’s the surprise and news I wanted to share sa inyo,” she added.
In the video’s description box, Winwyn stated how she chose to keep mum on the rumors about her pregnancy and kept it private between her family and loved ones “but there was still part of me that wants to share this wonderful news with my subscribers and supporters but I was undecided on when and how”.
Winwyn stated that she had to take a break from her work to rest as advised by her doctors.
“I am very fortunate that my GMA family has been very supportive of my decision and that my health and my baby’s well-being are a priority,” she said.
The beauty queen also recalled feeling scared and nervous on how she will deal with her while working on her title role movie and Metro Manila Film Destival official entry Nelia.
“I was ecstatic but at the same time scared and nervous because I was unsure how my situation will sit with it but again, my producer’s priority was our well being and they helped me navigate through schedules and made sure that we will be okay.”
“I am taking it day by day,” continued Winwyn as she shared the pregnancy symptoms she’s been experiencing.
“I want you all to know that I am super happy for this blessing at this special time in my life, I am still getting used to the changes in my body but I am excited that in a few months we will meet our little baby. Please pray for our little family and pray that everything will be safe.”
