Janella Salvador poured her heart out in a social media post about her struggle to regain her confidence after giving birth to her and Markus Paterson’s baby boy Jude.
In an Instagram post, the actress revealed that self-care was even harder to put into practice when she became a mother.
“I lost all the remaining ‘vanity’ that I had in me the moment Jude came into my life. My life revolved around him. Even just a trip to the grocery made me feel guilty because I felt like I could be spending time with him instead,” she shared.
While she enjoyed every bit of motherhood, the 23-year-old opened up that in the first few months of her journey, she did not feel like herself physically – adding that she would hide behind big and loose clothing.
“Of course, gaining weight is totally normal after giving birth… but there comes a time where you want to be healthy and regain your strength,” Janella said.
The newbie mom then shared that her decision to finally say yes to celebrity doctor Vicki Belo’s suggestion to get liposuction, a fat-removal procedure, was the “best decision ever”.
She added: “I can’t thank her and @dochayden enough for helping me jumpstart my journey back to sexy and for giving me back my confidence.”
After her procedure, Janella said she is finally starting to see who she wants to see in the mirror.
“To all the mamas out there, enjoy every part of your journey and don’t pressure yourself. At the end of the day, what matters most is the health and happiness of your baby. But don’t forget to take steps towards your own happiness,” she ended with an advice for her fellow moms.
It was in July when Janella shared photos of her flaunting her curves as she opened up on her weight-loss journey, revealing that she has 13 pounds more to lose.
