Jhong Hilario’s daughter Sarina Oceania with longtime partner Maia Azores has been baptized, more than two months after she was born.
The proud parents on Tuesday shared snaps from their first child’s christening as they expressed thanks to her godparents.
“Thank you to all the godparents of Sarina for your prayers and support on our child’s blessed day. We know you will be a source of guidance to our little princess through the years,” said Jhong in a Facebook post.
Maia, on the other hand, related that Sarina’s baptismal gown was exactly “the one I wore at my own christening 29 years ago”.
Jhong and Maia who have been a couple for nine years welcomed Sarina on March 27.
Revealing the reason behind their daughter’s name, Jhong previously explained in a Magandang Buhay interview: “Sarina, galing iyan sa Hebrew name na ibig sabihin ay Princess. Ang second name niya is Oceania kasi mahilig kami sa dagat, and noong buntis si Maia, nasa beach kami, nag-swimming kami, so naisipan namin, Princess of the Ocean, kaya Oceania, Sarina Oceania.”
The 44-year-old-actor host also admitted that out of all his achievements, fatherhood is what makes his life complete.
“Sabi ko nga, kahit papaano, naging successful tayo sa pagiging Streetboys. Naging successful tayo sa pagiging actor dahil nakakuha tayo ng mga award. Naging regular tayo sa Showtime bilang host. And eto, marami akong naipapasa na ordinansa at mga batas sa Makati,” he said.
“Pero ang sabi ko, ang talagang magpapakumpleto sa buhay ko ay ’yong maging tatay.”
