Doris Bigornia makes first TV appearance after heart surgery

A month after undergoing an open-heart surgery, veteran ABS-CBN journalist Doris Bigornia appeared for the first time on TV.

Showing up on her DZMM Teleradyo program SRO on Monday, Doris took the chance to express her gratitude to the doctors who “saved my life” and people who extended their support through financial assistance or prayers.

She said, “Unang una talaga siyempre sa Diyos, sa pangalawang buhay na ‘to… sa mga doctor ko.”

“Kaya lahat…

Doris is grateful that she was able to get through the ordeal with the help of the people around her and considers her recovery a miracle.

“Thank God, ito po ako on my way to recovery. I’m hoping to see you again,” she added.

Doris, who was seen with a gauze bandage on her neck, shared that she’s still undergoing dialysis due to kidney failure following her triple heart bypass surgery.

Alvin Elchico, Doris’ co-anchor in SRO, first revealed that the seasoned broadcaster suffered a heart attack in late February.
