YouTuber Crisha Uy reacts to ex Joem Bascon’s baby news

YouTuber Crisha Uy has reacted to her ex-boyfriend Joem Bascon’s baby news with Meryll Soriano.

On January 1, Meryll and Joem welcomed the year 2021 with a baby reveal on the former’s Instagram, confirming the actors’ rekindled romance 10 years after they broke up.

In a YouTube vlog on Sunday, January 17, Crisha said she decided to give her “last” statement about her ex in response to comments, tags and mentions on social media following the post.

“I remember that photo ba that was released that day. It was uploaded before my birthday, and then nag-flood ng tags, mentions and comments. Then I thought it was an early birthday greeting. Yun pala pasabog diay. Di ko alam kung ba’t niyo ako tinag at minention. Gusto niyo yata ako saktan,” the social media influencer said.

“Joke! Thank you sa concern niyo… But ‘wag na kayo mag-alala, kasi yung totoo, alam ko na talaga. Alam ko na yun.”

She said she was no longer surprised with the revelation because of common friends who told her the “truth”.

“Alam ko na yung totoo, yung relationship nila and their bundle of blessing way before inupload yan.”

Crisha, nevertheless, admitted that the news affected her just the same.

“When I was reading the article, yung naramdaman ko that day was nagalit ako. Nagalit ako kasi bumalik yung feelings ko na I was betrayed all over again. Iba pala yung feeling na nakita mo versus kinuwento or tsinika lang sa iyo.”

She clarified though that she reacted that way not because she still harbored feelings for her former partner.

“Parang feeling ko kasi kailangan ko ilabas yung naramdaman ko that day na yung galit ko, yung sakit na yun, kung ano man ang naramdaman ko that day, but hindi dahil mahal ko pa siya kundi, you know… Kasi naka-move on na ako eh. Ano lang, finally na-confirm ko na nagsinungaling talaga siya noon.”

Crisha further alleged, “That I was lied to na, kasi I gave them the benefit of doubt eh before. Pero yun nga sampal pala sa mukha nung nakita ko yun. Sampal sa mukha na tama pala yung hinala ko noon na finally, girl, confirmed ganun. Ganun yung feeling.”

She also laughed off speculation that her recent hugot TikTok video and vlog were about her ex.

Crisha noted that she last spoke about her breakup in an emotional vlog same month last year, after their eight years together, during which they had plans of getting married.

“Naiyakan ko na yan in 2019. 2021 na. Let’s move on.”

She hoped that by addressing the comments, she finally gets to close this chapter in her life.

“Alam niyo proseso talaga ang lahat,” she said. “Sa mga nakaranas tulad nito, ‘wag kayo magmadali. Trust in God’s timing.”
