Kris Aquino promises to keep personal battles private

On her recent Instagram post, the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino explained why she wouldn’t be able to attend the 33rd PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) Star Awards for Movies where she is a recipient for the Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award.

“I wanted to emulate them [sisu] and keep this chapter of my life private, but the PMPC awards are coming this weekend and there can’t be “privacy” when you want to give due RESPECT to people who have chosen to give you the Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award pero hindi ka pwedeng makadalo dahil palipad kayong Singapore,” she wrote.

According to Kris, she was scheduled for a health check-up in Singapore on the day of the event. The actress and TV host  added she had promised her followers her feed would be nothing but the happy moments her and her kids experience.

“I’m keeping most of that promise by sparing all of us the details kung bakit kailangan kong lumipad and have my [medical] tests, 3 months early,” she said.

Kris said she refuses to share her struggles on social media because these are personal battles.

“I have also told you I shall no longer chronicle my struggles, those are my personal battles best immortalized only after a decisive victory. So when days or weeks go by and this feed is quiet, then that’s me holding on to my sisu and practicing my “kintsugi” wellness with some “hilot” included,” she said.
