Jo Koy suggests Pinoys’ tabo as solution to toilet paper shortage

-

Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy revealed why Pinoys are probably the least bothered with the shortage of toilet paper amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

People in Manila and other coronavirus-hit countries have reportedly started panic buying alcohol, face masks and toilet paper.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has urged the public to not hoard food, sanitary supplies and other consumer goods despite the increase in coronavirus cases in the country.

But should the time come that Filipinos will face a shortage of toilet paper, Jo Koy believes they will not be worried about such a scenario and may already have a solution to it.

“Filipino has one of this, next to the toilet, a tabo. Fill this up with water and clean yourself,” he shared in a short clip posted on his social media accounts.

Tabo or water dipper is a traditional Filipino household item used for cleaning, washing and bathing.

Jo Koy shared a little fun fact about the tabo with his followers.

“One tabo is equivalent to 10,000 rolls of toilet paper. That’s right. Not only are you being clean, you’re saving the environment,” he said.

“So why wipe your ass when you can wash your ass with a tabo,” he ended in jest.
