WATCH: Bea Alonzo brings out inner poet on 32nd birthday

Bea Alonzo is shaking things up for her birthday this year.

Aside from the usual party with friends and family, the actress decided to share what’s in her heart with a spoken word poem she posted on her YouTube channel

Bea officially turns 32 on Oct. 17.

“I’m celebrating my birthday tonight. I’m celebrating LIFE and being ALIVE. I wouldn’t have it any other way than to be with the people who made me feel loved and special. I can’t invite all of you — that’s not possible. But I can let you in my heart and let you hear what’s in it,” she said in an Instagram post on Oct. 13.

Bea’s poem titled Muli speaks about how she is finally becoming whole after being broken.

Last July, she grabbed headlines due to her break-up with longtime actor-boyfriend Gerald Anderson.

In a tweet by ABS-CBN News, she was quoted as saying: “To my understanding, we did not break up. He just started not talking to me.”

“Unahin mo namang yakapin ang sarili mo,” she wrote in her poem.

But it’s not just about being whole, her piece also talks about loving yourself despite difficulties of doing so.
