Gerald Anderson reveals fitness business is at risk amid pandemic

Back in 2019, Gerald Anderson opened his own fitness center, The Th3rd Floor Gym. These days, the actor’s business is just one of the many livelihoods affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

For now, his gym is temporarily closed to the public. The A Soldier’s Heart star revealed that the lockdown has put his fitness business at risk.

“It’s a different situation. This is life and death. This is being sick. Your livelihood is being taken away from ABS-CBN shutdown. My fitness business is at stake because of the lockdown,” he shared in a report from Pilipino Star Ngayon.

Despite his difficult situation, Gerald said he has learned a thing or two about life because of it.

“It taught me how to be more resilient. And this situation taught me how fast things can be taken away from you,” he said.

The 31-year-old also shared that he is thankful that his action-drama serye A Soldier’s Heart is still airing through the Kapamilya Channel. Gerald said the staff and crew of the show were strict in adhering to health protocols.

“I did all the testing, all the process para maging safe. But at the end of the day, you’ll ever know. I’m still here being able to work and still being able to produce quality show for all our supporters and audience even during this pandemic and lockdown,” he said.

He disclosed that despite the difficult circumstances during their tapings, everyone was still motivated to produce episodes for their supporters.

“I’ll be very honest, it was a very hard situation because everyone was exposed when we were there but everyone was motivated because we know that we’re doing something good for our supporters,” he said.

Gerald recently touched the hearts of netizens after he surprised his mother with a pickup truck.

Though he was unable to personally surprise his mom with the new vehicle, he made sure that this mom’s reaction was caught on camera.
